Who Benefits

The {Re}Happening supports and raises awareness for Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center, a local non-profit museum in downtown Asheville dedicated to preserving and continuing the legacy of Black Mountain College. It also provides a platform for forward thinking artists to present in a unique environment that is geared in equal parts towards history and community.

Tickets

*No refunds or exchanges. This is a rain or shine event. In the event of inclement weather outdoor events will be moved to the gym. If this should become necessary, a decision will be made before noon on March 25th and posted on the {Re}HAPPENING website.

*All persons attending this event, by their presence, may be photographed, videotaped, or broadcasted and, waive any claim related to the use of their image for promotional purposes.

Security + First Aid

Security personnel will be available throughout the event. For help, please come to the main ticketing tent.

*All packages are subject to search. Weapons of any kind are not permitted.

Parking + Shuttles

Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Limited parking passes are available for purchase. Round trip shuttles from downtown Asheville to Camp Rockmont are also available. Please visit the Location page for more information.

*HIDE + LOCK: Please hide any valuables and be sure to lock your cars. BMCM+AC is not responsible for stolen items.

Accessibility

All participants are welcome, but please note that the site might pose some challenges for those with limited mobility, wheelchairs or strollers. The majority of the event occurs on uneven terrain and events are spaced out across the campus. Ramps are available in some areas but not all.

Several handicap parking spots will be reserved at the Roundhouse. If travelling to or waiting in the ticketing line is difficult due to health concerns, please check in at the Membership Table at the Dining Hall.

Projects often include instances of flashing lights and immersive, sometimes sudden noise.

Lost + Found

The lost + found  is located at main ticketing tent.

Food + Drink

Visit the 2024 Food + Drink page for more information about our offerings. Food trucks and beverages will be available on-site throughout the day. Must be 21+ with a valid ID to drink.

Smoking

Smoking is discouraged, and is strictly prohibited inside buildings. If you must smoke, please be courteous and discard your butts in the designated sand buckets.

Kids

Yes! We hope that participants of all ages will find the performances and installations to be involving and eye-opening. The goal of the overall presentation is to break down barriers and involve the audience in an immersive experience, which we think children will find exciting.

*Children under the age of 10 are FREE with a ticket holding adult.

Dogs

Service dogs only. Be kind to your pets – guests are encouraged to leave them at home. Pets are prohibited for the safety of the pet due to the large number of people. Service dogs must be on a short leash. Guests may be asked to leave if they don’t have proper control of their pet and its behavior.

Camping

Unfortunately at this stage in the event’s development we are unable to offer camping.

Unauthorized Performance + Solicitation

Buskers and/or entertainers who are not contracted with the event are not permitted, and unauthorized solicitation or distribution of fliers is not allowed.

Restricted Access

Please stay in the designated event area. The docks are off limits during this event.

Connectivity

Please note wifi is not available and cell reception can be limited.
