The Smokin’ Onion
The Smokin’ Onion was started in September 2021 with humble savings and a lot of hard work. Just a small business with good intentions, owned & operated by Chef Parker Schultz and wife/partner Kiimia aka Keems. Parker and Keems met while working at a vegetarian restaurant years ago and the rest is history. When their youngest son Bruce was suddenly diagnosed with Leukemia at 2, life seemed to stand still. Bruce’s steadfast perseverance and the universe’s reminder that life is short inspired them to follow their dreams. They chose to center family and values over wealth and take the leap to open a small business with a big vision. Parker was born into a family of foodies and while growing up in his parents’ restaurant, he fell in love with food and began honing his culinary skills in his early teens. Cooking delicious food for others quickly became his passion. Over the two-decades since, Parker has gained experience working alongside highly-trained chefs. Parker served as the Executive Chef of a popular vegetarian restaurant for several years before parting ways to get The Smokin’ Onion rolling. Parker’s experience includes event catering and his specialty is plant-based cuisine.
