Tracey Schmidt recites poetry by memory to music, in the tradition of the middle eastern poets. She has performed and taught internationally, and most recently performed in Ireland, where she was teaching creativity to women. This is poetry for people who don’t like poetry! She will be accompanied by cellist Sarah Moor from the Indiana Symphony, tabla player Cliff Hackford, a newly minted Ashevillian from NJ, Native American flutist Greg Lathrop, and local guitarist Michael Ivey. Tracey was most recently at the sold out BMCM event with poet and teacher Paulus Berensohn. Don’t miss this!
