The Cloud Library, Volume I, part of photo+sphere, exhibits the of work 10 contemporary photographers and is on display October 23-November 20, 2018 at the Elizabeth Holden Gallery at Warren Wilson College where Baden is professor of art. David McConville: Buckminster Fuller Institute

Co-chair of the Buckminster Fuller Institute, David McConville will be giving a talk, Beyond the “Whole Earth,” honoring the 50th anniversary of the publication of Buckminster Fuller’s Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth. McConville is a media artist and researcher who develops tools and techniques for exploring the big picture context of the complex challenges facing humanity. FREE



Justin Guariglia: photo+sphere Keynote

Justin Guariglia speaks about art and our current ecological crisis. Guariglia is a transdisciplinary artist whose photographs have appeared in The New York Times, Smithsonian Magazine, National Geographic and Time Magazine, as well as in monographic publications by Chronicle Books and the Aperture Foundation. In 2016 he became the first artist to fly on earth science missions with NASA. That experience influenced his transition from photojournalist to creating artistic statements on a deeper level.
