James McGarrell is one of the most influential figural painters of the 1980’s and 90’s postmodern movement. His work is in many museum collections, including: the Centre Georges Pompidou, France; Hamburg Museum of Art, Germany; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington D.C.; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City; and the Museum of Modern Art, also in New York City.
