BMCM+AC presents a virtual PERSPECTIVES Conversation with Chloe Moore, farm manager at Asheville’s own Southside Community Farm. Chloe will discuss the history of Southside Community Farm, the organization’s current work, and the importance of contemporary initiatives towards food justice.

This conversation is presented in conjunction with the exhibition The Farm at Black Mountain College, on view at BMCM+AC September 27, 2024 – March 15, 2025.

Chloe Moore (he/she) serves as farm manager of Southside Community Farm, where he grows and distributes healthy food, leads community events, and teaches youth about nutrition, agriculture, and ecology. Chloe works to connect with community, land, and food in ways that feel empowering, restorative, and delightful. He is a queer, Black and Borikua-Taino, landless farmer, educator, and parent who loves to eat good food, sing to plants, and play in the dirt. Chloe is also a co-creator of Liberation Tools, a project providing free, hand-forged farm and garden tools to land stewards of color.
