On June 23rd at 7:00 pm BMCM+AC will team up with the Fine Arts Theatre and Bonesteel Films to present Cage/Cunningham, an award-winning documentary film by Elliot Caplan about the fertile decades-long collaborative partnership between composer John Cage and dancer/choreographer Merce Cunningham. The 90-minute documentary contains rare and wonderful archival footage of their performances as well as interesting interviews with many leading figures in the arts including Nam June Paik, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Rudolf Nureyev, Frank Stella, Virgil Thomson, Carolyn Brown, Viola Farber, David Tudor, and more. Winner of the Best Documentary award at the 1992 IMZ Dance Screen Festival, Frankfurt.

The Black Mountain College Museum and Arts Center is located at 56 Broadway in downtown Asheville. Hours are 12-4 pm Wednesday through Saturday and by appointment.
