Presented in conjunction with the First Friday Art Walk, this poetry reading is organized by MadHat Poetry Prose & Anything Goes. Poets include Nina Hart, Amy Catanzano, and Nathaniel Mackey.

Nina Hart’s first collection of surreal short fictions, Somewhere in a Town You Never Knew Existed Somewhere, was selected as a Short Stories category finalist in Foreword Reviews’ 2014 IndieFab Book of the Year Awards.



Amy Catanzano’s work as a poet explores the intersections of poetry and science, with a focus on physics and quantum theory. She is the author of three books and is an Assistant Professor of English and the Poet-in-Residence at Wake Forest University.



Nathaniel Mackey
is the author of six books of poetry, an ongoing prose work, and two books of criticism. His awards and honors include the National Book Award for poetry (2006), a Guggenheim Fellowship (2010), and the Bollingen Prize for American Poetry (2015). He is the Reynolds Price Professor of English at Duke University, and lives in Durham, NC.
