• Our Ray Spillenger exhibition got off to a snowy start!

Friends,

As we look forward to 2017, we want to take a moment to thank you for your support this year. Your contribution made it possible for us to present:

  • the work of 302 artists and scholars,
  • in 5 exhibitions, and 158 presentations, performances and workshops,
  • that were seen by 20,000+ people
  • who paid on average, $8 per event
  • and saw our exhibitions and gallery talks for free.

We would not have accomplished any of this without you! Like Black Mountain College, we work together as a community to make these programs happen, and we thank you for being a part of our community.

2017 will be even better! On January 13th we will open Zola Marcus: Kinetic Origins at 56 Broadway, rediscovering the work of late abstract painter Zola Marcus, quickly followed by, Begin to See: The Photographers of Black Mountain College on January 20th at 69 Broadway. We are also excited that the {Re}HAPPENING will return Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at beautiful Lake Eden, the former campus of Black Mountain College.

Our programs are only possible through your financial support. We rely on individual donations, in addition to membership dues, to fund these incredible opportunities. Our deepest thanks to everyone who has already given so generously.

Happy New Year from all of us at Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center!

With gratitude,

Jeff Arnal
